Mode Dental Studio is a modern, established mixed practice committed to providing exceptional care. We are seeking a dedicated Dental Therapist to join our clinical team and work to the full extent of their GDC scope of practice, including Direct Access.
This role is essential in expanding our capacity for preventative and restorative treatments, ensuring excellent oral health outcomes for our diverse patient base.
Key Responsibilities
Working as an autonomous practitioner within your GDC Scope of Practice, you will:
* Provide Direct Access Care: Independently assess, diagnose, and treat patients for a range of routine procedures without the need for a prior dentist referral.
* Restorative Treatments: Carry out direct restorations (fillings) on both adult and children's teeth (permanent and primary).
* Periodontal Care: Perform detailed periodontal charting, scaling and polishing.
* Paediatric Dentistry: Provide preventative care, restorations, and extractions of primary teeth.
* Diagnostics: Prescribe, take, process, and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) where clinically necessary.
* Compliance: Maintain accurate patient records and adhere strictly to GDC standards and UK infection control protocols.
Candidate Requirements (Essential)
* Hold a recognised qualification in Dental Therapy and Dental Hygiene.
* Full and valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Valid Professional Indemnity Insurance.
* Demonstrable experience working as a Dental Therapist in a UK setting.
* Excellent manual dexterity and outstanding communication skills.
