This is an exciting opportunity to join our Client's team as a weld inspector for a long-term contract.
Role Overview
The weld inspector will report to the Quality Manager and collaborate with the wider weld engineering capability. The role involves supporting projects and programmes, as well as providing independent assurance of welding arrangements and activities.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct front-line inspection within fabrication shops, including steel work and piping, and complete inspection reports.
2. Carry out NDT and complete associated paperwork.
3. Ensure compliance with controlling documentation.
4. Liaise with Client Inspectors.
5. Compile documentation packages (LTRs) concurrently.
Qualifications & Certification
All candidates should hold the following:
* CSWIP 3.1
Desired Qualifications
* Lead Auditor
* RadInterpL2
* PCN L2 – MPI / DPI
* UT
Experience
* More than 3 years of experience in Mechanical and Weld Inspection and Testing.
* Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.
* Understanding of welding and NDT techniques.
* Experience working within a Nuclear regulated industry is preferred.
* Knowledge of ISO 3834 and BS EN 1090 standards.
* Experience in steel fabrication and pipework.
