Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + company car / fuel / benefits package

VANRATH is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within the Building Maintenance department for a leading Construction Company in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The role involves leading all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of multiple projects, maximizing profitability, ensuring legal and contractual compliance, and managing commercial issues proactively.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Financial Management: Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial reports, cost control, and cash collection. Provide strategic insights to maximize profitability.
2. Contract Administration: Lead contract administration, including negotiations, variations, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
3. Procurement and Tendering: Oversee procurement, evaluate bids, and select subcontractors and suppliers to ensure value and strategy alignment.
4. Cost Valuation and Reporting: Conduct valuations, manage payments, and prepare final accounts. Ensure accurate financial reporting and risk management.
5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks to safeguard company interests.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Degree qualified or relevant qualification
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Proven track record managing high-value projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods and industry practices
* Advanced knowledge of contract law, building regulations, and health & safety
* Excellent commercial and financial reporting skills
* Experience in social housing or maintenance preferred
* Good IT skills, strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
