Join our dynamic team at New World Foods (part of Kepak Group) in York as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer!
This full-time, permanent role is all about ensuring our onsite equipment runs smoothly. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll collaborate across different departments, work closely with the production team, mentor an apprentice, and engage with a variety of suppliers.
This position will require a certain level of flexibility working across Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
Rotating shifts are: 6am – 2pm and 2pm -10pm.
Main Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot Electrical and Mechanical issues on production lines
* Repair electro-mechanical PLC-controlled equipment and manage pneumatic/hydraulic systems
* Provide technical support for plant facilities, including air, refrigeration, and steam systems
* Perform Preventive & Predictive Maintenance routines
* Monitor line and machine performance
* Collaborate with suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications
* Maintain cleanliness in work and transit areas
* Engage in training and development for job-related skills
* Update maintenance management system (CMMS) and record all maintenance activities
Requirements
* Electrical Trades qualification, mechanical experience would be an advantage
* Previous experience in a simular Multi-Skilled role, ideally within a Food manufacturing or FMCG environment
* Strong diagnostic/root cause analysis skills
* Participation as team member and willing to work on own initiative
