About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent PCN Representation Officer to join Southampton City Council (SCC) in the Highways & Traffic Management Service. This role is part of the PCN Representation team, handling formal representations received by SCC, including case handling, investigations, creating Traffic Penalty Tribunal evidence packs, and participating in Adjudication hearings representing SCC interests.
Responsibilities
* Assisting in ensuring all aspects of the PCN Representation team are developed, maintained, and improved to benefit the travelling public in line with legislation and local policies.
* Assisting the Highway Authority with the implementation of resident parking zones.
Required Qualifications
* A Levels (or equivalent) education in relevant subjects or equivalent experience.
* Highly skilled and confident with Microsoft systems, especially Excel.
* Experience dealing with complex or contentious issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Substantial experience working in a complex and constantly changing environment.
Desirable Qualities
* Knowledge of moving traffic enforcement regulations and processes.
* Basic understanding of duties undertaken by a Highway Authority.
Salary and Benefits
Salary band: £28,792 – £31,022, with starting salary £28,792 and annual progression.
