Retail Branch Manager – Basingstoke East
40 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday with Saturday on a rota.

We have an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and motivated Retail Branch Manager to lead the team at our busy branch in Basingstoke. Located on Whitney Road, our Basingstoke East Store stocks the widest range of trade and designer paints as well as a comprehensive selection of wallcoverings and all the decorating supplies our customers need to get the job done. Our friendly and experienced team have a wealth of knowledge between them so if you are looking to expand your knowledge in our industry, you will be in the best place to do it.
Branch opening hours: Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm and Saturday 8am – 5pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and developing a team of 3. Promoting the branch and the company’s product range to encourage new business.
* Managing, controlling, and developing the overall business of the branch to achieve sales and profit targets.
* Taking responsibility for stock, cash, and branch security.
* Achieving the branch’s sales and profit targets, generating new business.
* Maintain high levels of customer service and represent the Company positively.
* Act as a Key Holder for the branch.
Qualifications and Experience
* Management or supervisory experience in a similar or relevant role.
* Experience of developing a team.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.
* Enthusiastic and proactive about selling, inspiring staff to achieve high levels of customer service.
* Understanding and demonstration of our focus on customer service and Brewers values.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive excellence.
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
* Approachable with an open and friendly personality, happy to help customers and colleagues.
* Enjoy working and supporting a team, but can work independently when required.
* Learner ready to progress within the industry.
* Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required.
* Knowledge of the local area would be beneficial.
