We have an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist at our Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emerson's Green and Devizes Hospital.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to our Outpatients Manager, you will be part of a small, forward‑looking department with the latest ophthalmic equipment, including IOL Master 700 and the latest edition Humphrey Visual Field Analyser. Specialist areas offered include cataract surgery pathways, age related macular degeneration assessment and treatment pathways and ocular‑plastic pathway. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their skills by working alongside our experienced Ophthalmic Consultants to deliver an outstanding Cataract Service for patients and to be an integral part of our patient’s cataract pathway, providing first‑consultation appointments and follow‑up routine appointments for our consultant‑led elective ophthalmic services.
What we'll look for in you
* You will be a GOC Registered Optometrist, with experience in the pre and post assessments of patients referred for refractive surgery.
* Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical care provision and knowledge of ophthalmic disease.
* Be able to independently prescribe and deliver first appointments on a cataract pathway.
