Maintenance Operative
Hours per Week: 40 Per Week (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent
The Role of Maintenance Operative:
* Undertake general maintenance, security, porterage and cleaning service at Mirren Park School:
* To undertake various regular statutory checks including Asbestos visual check, fire alarm weekly and periodic tests, water checks etc.
o Respond effectively to all urgent maintenance and repair tasks as they arise.
* Undertake general repairs and maintenance around the site or organise repairs to be made by a contractor.
o Work as an effective team member with maintenance and cleaning staff, support staff and teaching staff.
o Supervise all external contractors ensuring that all necessary procedures and policies are adhered to.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of general maintenance relating to buildings, mechanical and electrical services, decoration, plumbing and gardening.
* Time served experienced Tradesman and all-round experience in a number of trades.
* Manual handling techniques and Health & Safety in the workplace,
* Knowledge of use of power tools and other general maintenance equipment.
* Hold a full driving license.
