With significant active travel funding from the North East Combined Authority, we seek to leverage this funding to advance our active travel initiatives.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Transport Planner to lead the development and implementation of innovative transport planning, policy, development, and research initiatives focused on active travel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop active travel interventions and schemes, integrating active travel into various infrastructures.
2. Provide strategic direction for active travel initiatives and manage their development.
3. Support other Principal Transport Planners and work closely with the Technical Specialist on optioneering and feasibility studies.
4. Collaborate with engineers on detailed scheme designs for construction.
5. Act as the client under Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), ensuring project compliance and safety.
