Overview
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality, comprehensive PA and administrative service, to the R&I Director, Deputy R&I Director and the Head of R&I. The post holder will also be providing PA and administration support for the Commercial Research Delivery Centre as the Research and Innovation Directorate has been awarded £3.1 million in government funding to become a regional research hub. The post holder will require to have excellent communication skills at all levels, confidence and expert experience of working in diverse settings, must be able to use their own initiative, build strong working relationships and work as part of a team within the research environment. We are a friendly team working in a busy and demanding NHS environment; the post holder is expected to have a positive attitude to encourage and support the enhancement of an effective research culture within UHNM.
Responsibilities
* Cover the reception desk and ensure the reception area is well-maintained.
* liaise with members of the Directorate and external departments.
* Manage multiple electronic diaries using Outlook.
* Maintain records, arrange meetings, and type minutes from various Directorate meetings.
* Prepare papers for relevant meetings.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience as a Personal Assistant/Administrator or similar role.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels.
* Confidence and experience of working in diverse settings.
* Ability to use own initiative, build strong working relationships, and work as part of a team within the research environment.
