MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
his new role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of a tailored service for young women aged 16 to 25. This unique role focuses on engagement, empowerment, early intervention, and providing one-on-one support.
This new role will be responsible for the creation and delivery of online content to drive engagement of the project. Coordinating and facilitating a young women's steering group to guide the direction of the content creation element of the project. Creating a safe and welcoming space that encourages trauma-informed discussions about healthy and unhealthy relationships, self-esteem, and emotional well-being.
Facilitating healthy and respectful dialogue on the topic of EVWAG (Ending Violence Against Women and Girls), Delivering engaging information and awareness sessions aimed at promoting Healthy and Respectful Relationships. Empower Young Women to identify signs of unhealthy relationships and, more importantly, to develop the skills and understanding necessary to build and sustain healthy, respectful intimate and interpersonal relationships.
The role will support and empower women, and their children, using Women's Aid services who have experienced domestic/sexual abuse and violence (and other forms of violence against them), to make their own decisions. This may involve taking appropriate action to enable them to remain in their own home safely or seeking alternative refuge accommodation.
