Purpose of the Job
To work as a member of a team, be directly responsible to the Manager who is responsible for all departments within the nursing home. To help create and promote a hygienic, clean and homely environment, enabling residents to live as normal and healthily as possible.
Main Duties and Responsibilities.
· To have a working knowledge and understanding of the policies pertaining to the post.
· To ensure that the privacy, dignity and respect of each individual resident is fully considered and complies with the rules of confidentiality policies and procedures.
· To adhere to the homes cleaning schedule.
· To have a full understanding of the health & safety aspects and to display a high awareness of safety standards. Staff must be prepared to undertake training as required to ensure compliance.
· To report immediately any accidents, incidents or concerns to the Housekeeper/ Nurse in Charge.
· To maintain a pleasant, hygienic living environment.
To work shift patterns to suit the needs of the home which involves domestic and laundry duties
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00 per hour
