Portwest, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE, is seeking an ERP & IT Project Manager to be based in either Westport, Ireland or Thurnscoe, UK. Portwest employs over 5,300 staff worldwide and operates global warehouses in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, UAE, USA and Australia.
Job Summary
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated ERP & IT Project Manager to help deliver technology and business transformation projects across our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in project coordination or ERP support who is ready to take the next step into managing end-to-end projects with guidance and mentorship from experienced colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
 * Support the planning and delivery of ERP and IT projects, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
 * Assist in defining project scope, requirements, and success criteria with business stakeholders.
 * Help prepare project documentation, including project charters, schedules, and status reports.
 * Coordinate communication between business users, test teams, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution.
 * Track and report on project progress, risks, and issues, escalating as needed.
 * Support governance activities, including meeting coordination, minutes, and action tracking.
 * Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement within the IT Project Management Office (PMO).
 * Participate in testing and change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
Requirements
 * 2–4 years of experience in IT project coordination, ERP support, or a related role.
 * Understanding of ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, IFS, or Infor M3 (experience with Infor M3 is a strong plus).
 * Exposure to business process areas such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Finance.
 * Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
 * Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
 * Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or MS Project).
 * Eagerness to learn formal project management methodologies and progress toward certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile).
 * A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
