Overview
We are currently recruiting a Support Worker to join our team for ongoing work in multiple care homes across Powys, Llandrindod Wells, Brecon, Cardiff, Swansea and Haverfordwest. If you're looking for flexible shifts with excellent pay, we'd love to hear from you.
Duties
* Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
* Provide patient care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or autism.
* Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients' conditions.
* Implement care plans and assist with medication administration as directed.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
* Assist with heavy lifting and the use of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Skills
* First aid and CPR certification are preferred.
* Experience in group home settings or assisted living environments is highly desirable.
* Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in behavior or health status.
* Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and special needs.
* Knowledge of home health care practices and hospice care is beneficial.
* Familiarity with memory care techniques and direct support services.
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and team members.
* Capable of performing cleaning duties while maintaining a safe environment for clients.

Pay: £12.21-£24.90 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
