Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tool Change Setter/Fitter to join our plastics manufacturing team. This role is responsible for preparing production machinery for operation by changing, installing, and adjusting tools, dies, and moulds to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production output.
The successful candidate will have strong experience within blow moulding and injection moulding environments and be confident completing tool changes to precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Change and install tools, dies, and moulds on blow and injection moulding machines
Prepare and set production machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation
Ensure machines run to high-quality and precise specifications
Carry out tool and die changes efficiently to minimise downtime
Complete all required tool change documentation and paperwork
Operate and support use of granulators and power packs
Carry out lifting and slinging activities safely
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Work closely with production and technical teams to resolve issues
Experience & Skills
Essential:
Experience in blow moulding
Experience in injection moulding
Proven experience carrying out tool and die changes
Manufacturing background (plastics preferred)
Strong understanding of machine setup and safe working practices
Desirable:
Experience with granulators and hydraulic power packs
Lifting and slinging experience
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications required
FLT or other relevant tickets beneficial (training can be provided)
Training & Development
