At Willows Care Home in Romford, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our team.
Position Details
This is a full-time permanent position, working 3 day shifts every week from 8.00am to 8.00pm (34.5 hours). You will also be required to work alternate weekends.
Purpose of Role:
As a Care Assistant, you will show warmth and support to residents, helping to promote independence and dignity, and positively enhance their lives. If you have knowledge and experience caring for elderly people, come from a caring background, and have a genuine love and understanding of older people, this job could be for you.
Key Duties:
1. Provide a high level of care to our residents, ensuring their wellbeing.
2. Provide personal care, maintaining high hygiene standards.
3. Record observations accurately, inform the Senior Nurse of any changes, and respond accordingly.
4. Support residents in maintaining their independence.
5. Identify and assist with residents’ needs.
6. Serve meals.
7. Assist residents as necessary.
Requirements:
1. Ideally, you will have some experience in the healthcare sector; training will be provided.
2. Qualification to NVQ Level 2 or 3 is desirable but not essential.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including weekends.
5. Caring personality.
6. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
