What Skills And Experience We're Looking For
To plan and deliver high-quality foreign language lessons that are engaging, age appropriate,and aligned with the primary curriculum. The role aims to support pupils'language acquisition, develop their communication skills, and promote an understandingand appreciation of other cultures within a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities And Tasks
Lead the planning, delivery, and development of the whole-class foreign languagelessons across the school (eg French, Spanish, German)
Use creative and interactive teaching methods to engage pupils of all abilities.
Promote cultural awareness and appreciation of the target language.
Ensure lessons align with national curriculum expectations and school policies.
Develop and maintain a progressive language curriculum across year groups.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to support and engage all learners.
Collaborate with the SENDCo to ensure inclusive foreign language provision for SEND,EAL, and disadvantaged pupils.
Foster a school-wide enthusiasm for foreign languages among pupils, staff, and parents.
Create and adapt resources and equipment to support foreign language learning.
Support staff with strategies to reinforce foreign language learning outside of specialistlessons.
