About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Quality Improvement Manager to lead a transformation within the quality function of a large-scale aerospace and automotive manufacturing business.
This is not a traditional quality role. We’re looking for a change agent — someone who can challenge the status quo, ask the right questions, and drive a cultural shift from reactive quality control to proactive quality assurance.
The successful candidate will be tasked with identifying and resolving issues within the quality function, building a robust and future-focused quality system, and inspiring teams to take ownership of quality at every level.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the transition from reactive quality checking to a proactive, assurance-led approach.
* Investigate and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
* Build and embed a culture of accountability, ownership, and pride in product quality.
* Coach and mentor teams to develop quality awareness and capability.
* Ensure metrology and shop floor quality systems are fit for purpose and support continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with leadership and department heads to align quality strategy with business goals.
* Champion a mindset of “quality is everyone’s responsibility.”
What We’re Looking For
We’re open-minded about your background — you don’t need to come from a traditional quality or CNC environment. In fact, a fresh perspective may be exactly what’s needed. What matters most is your ability to lead change, influence people, and drive results.
Essential Characteristics:
* Proven experience leading change in a manufacturing or operational environment.
* Understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
* Passionate, engaging, and able to inspire others.
* Comfortable challenging norms and driving cultural transformation.
* Process-driven with a forward-thinking mindset.
Desirable (but not required):
* Experience in aerospace or automotive sectors.
* Familiarity with metrology or shop floor quality systems.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a business that is ready for change. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the future of the quality function and the support of a leadership team committed to improvement
