Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of a bespoke electrical and mechanical engineering company who manage the complete mechanical engineering process including design, manufacture and commissioning. They mainly work within Water Utilities.
Operating over 35 years, they are a family owned organisation who have gained a reputable name within the industry for their high-quality work and excellent customer service.
They have a client base which boasts some of the biggest names in the engineering sector. Mainly working within the Waste Water and Clean Water industries they provide a range of services including surveying through to design, fabrication, installation and implementation.
The Fitter will hold a technical role within the company and should set examples of excellent conduct and professionalism. For individual projects, they will report to the assigned Project Manager.
This is a permanent position, covering Cowes, Working Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm. The pay rate is £19 – £23 per hour depending on experience. Perks include Van & Fuel Card, private use of van, door to door travel, overtime, discretionary bonuses, pension, wellness plan, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, training & development etc.
Responsibilities
* Adhere to Companies Policies, Procedures & Legal Practices.
* Adhere to the Companies Health & Safety Policies & Procedures.
* Adhere to the Companies Quality Management system.
* Adhere to the site-specific rules & regulations & to leave sites clean & tidy.
* To follow, read & sign the RAMS (Risk & Method Statements)
* Be able to read, understand and follow design drawings 2D/3D.
* Mechanical Installations & Repairs including Pumps, Fans & Gearboxes.
* General Steel Work, Handrail, CAT Ladders, Platforms.
Skills & Attributes
* Water industry experience ()
* Full mechanical apprenticeship or qualifications.
* CSCS Card.
* Understand Engineering drawings.
* Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
