Your role
* Organisation,collationand assessment of desk-based information as part of Phase 1Contaminated LandDesk Studies.
* Assisting onPhase 2 site investigations, including organising,supervisingand undertakingenvironmental / geo-environmental site investigation and monitoringscopes. The role willincluderegularsite-based work such ascontractor supervision, soil sampling andlogging,environmentalmonitoring/sampling and supporting otherson sitein these roles too.
* Compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, includingassisting in thepreparation of H&S Plans for site investigation and managing health and safety on site.
* Contributing to the delivery of factual and interpretative reporting. This may include digital data management, development of conceptual site models, undertaking qualitative and quantitative risk assessments for human health and the water environment,hydrogeologicalmodellingand Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
* Support with remediation design,implementationand verification.
* Developing own competence and maintain CPD necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the role, with support from the business on own training and development needs.
* Management of own work including supportingproject managersto ensure projects are deliveredon-time, on budget and to quality and client expectations.
About you
* Degree qualifiedin a relevant engineering or science subject (e.g. geology, geography, hydrogeology, chemistry,earth sciences,environmental science).
* Membership of relevant professional body.
* Anunderstanding of land contamination/brownfield land issues including relevant codes of practice and industry standards.
* Good organisational skills and an appetite for undertaking outdoor work in all weathers (alongsidea variety ofdesk-based tasks) are essential.
* Keen team player keen to learn and make a difference.
* Willingness to travel and undertake site-based work across the UK.
* Relevant post-graduate experience (ideally within a consultancy environment), witha track recordin delivering workon-time, on budget and to quality and client expectations.
* Experience indelivering site-based work on active gas andelectricityinfrastructuredistribution/transmissionsites.Further training can be provided asrequired.
* Additionalspecialist skills in hydrogeological modelling, EIA, environmental permitting,wasteand materials management areparticularly welcomed.
* Experience in working with geospatial data (GIS) using software such as QGIS and/or ArcGIS.
