Job Title: Subsidence Handler

An established and well-regarded claims management business is looking to strengthen its subsidence team with the addition of an experienced Subsidence Handler.
This is a strong opportunity for someone already working within property or subsidence claims who wants to develop their technical capability within a structured, quality-driven environment. The role
You’ll play a key part in managing subsidence claims from initial triage through to progression, supporting both customers and the wider technical team. This is a desk-based role with a strong focus on investigation, communication and accurate decision-making.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing and progressing subsidence claims in line with insurer guidelines
2. Conducting initial triage to determine validity and next steps
3. Reviewing policy coverage, terms and conditions
4. Preparing reports within agreed service levels
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date claim records
6. Communicating effectively with customers, insurers and internal stakeholders
7. Supporting wider team activity as required
Experience
8. Experience in subsidence, property claims, or a similar technical claims environment
9. Confidence handling complex or sensitive conversations
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills
11. Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
12. Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
13. Professional qualifications (Cert CII / Cert CILA or similar) are advantageous
