Here, you will utilize cutting-edge CNC machining centers for turning, milling, and grinding operations, crafting customized designs from a variety of materials including steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.
Your Role
As a Skilled CNC Operator, you will work with a diverse range of multi-axis machine tools—lathes, mills, grinders, and more. Your expertise will contribute to our high-mix production of fluid-film bearings, seals, and isolators, serving customers across Europe and beyond.

o £44,919.62 for a rotating shift pattern (early and backshifts)
o £52,452.37 for night shifts
* Working Hours: 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday

Your Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
* A time-served apprenticeship in a machining discipline or SVQ/NVQ level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
* At least 5 years of experience operating CNC machine tools in a lean-manufacturing environment
* Established milling experience with multi-axis machine tools or experience with Rotary Table Grinders, CNC Table Grinders, or 5 Axis CNC Grinders
* Familiarity with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
* Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm
* Experience with precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges)
* Ideally, experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar environments
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements
* Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system
* Interpret work instructions and select appropriate tooling
* Calculate feeds and speeds for various materials
* Edit or write complete programs as needed
* Perform quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity
* Visually inspect final components and prepare them for shipment
* Utilize precision measuring instruments for quality verification
