Graduate Day Analyst – Runcorn
SRG are supporting a leading chemical manufacturer in Runcorn who are seeking a Graduate Day Analyst to join their Site Services / Analytical Labs team on a 6-month temporary contract.
This is a great opportunity for a recent Chemistry graduate to gain practical, hands-on laboratory experience in an ISO- and UKAS-accredited environment, working on a variety of analytical and process-related projects that directly support production and quality operations.
Location: Runcorn
Contract: Temporary (6 months)
Salary: ~£29,000
Hours: Day shift, full-time
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform analysis of process, safety, health, environmental, and product samples using documented standard methods.
* Ensure analytical equipment and methods are maintained, calibrated, and compliant with ISO 9001 / UKAS 17025 standards.
* Report and investigate analytical anomalies using prescribed quality procedures.
* Carry out basic maintenance, calibration, and quality checks on lab instruments.
* Support technical teams in resolving production or environmental issues through analytical testing.
* Participate in training and maintain a strong understanding of lab safety (COSHH, risk assessments).
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree (or HND) in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry
* Strong practical laboratory and analytical skills
* Data literate – confident using Microsoft Office
* Excellent self-management, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Available immediately and based locally to Runcorn
* Full right to work in the UK
