Sourcing, negotiating, and procurement (including expediting) of goods and services to meet project requirements, considering price, quality, and delivery. These activities will be undertaken alongside the development and maintenance of project Bills-of-Materials, tooling requirements, and third-party services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
2. Support operations and other relevant departments; communicate supply issues impacting the project.
3. Collaborate with Programme & Production Managers to ensure timely supply of goods, expediting deliveries as needed.
4. Analyze costs and review cost reduction activities.
5. Prepare reports and updates as required.
6. Research new components and suppliers; prepare supplier nominations considering project constraints.
7. Negotiate contracts, improve prices, and review opportunities for project savings using best procurement practices.
8. Analyze stock levels to determine appropriate order schedules.
9. Prepare and raise purchase orders to support customer demand.
10. Build and maintain supplier relationships with effective communication.
11. Ensure a professional approach in all supplier dealings.
12. Ensure compliance with company policies during negotiations and contract awards.
13. Resolve issues related to price, quality, delivery, or invoices with suppliers.
14. Support policies related to quality management (IATF 16949).
15. Maintain knowledge of safety policies to ensure safe work practices.
16. Perform additional duties as assigned.
MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum 1 year experience in procurement; motorsport experience preferred.
* Minimum college education required.
* Strong knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, and cost analysis.
* Proficient in computer skills, especially advanced Excel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office setting; approximately 10% travel to customer and supplier locations. Exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, airborne particles, fumes, and temperature variations in production areas.
