We are a UK’s largest health and social care charity that values our people. This role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities in a service with three individuals (two female, one male) plus a wheelchair user. You will spend your shift with the person you support, learn routines, and help them live a happy life.
Responsibilities
* Spend your whole shift with the person you support.
* Learn and follow the service routines and communicate effectively with the people supported.
* Provide care and support to individuals in line with their needs and preferences.
* Participate in training, development, and wellbeing initiatives.
* Be part of a team with three staff on shift to ensure one-to-one time where possible.
What is important to us
Three individuals in the service have learning disabilities; there are 2 female and 1 male individuals, plus a wheelchair user. One individual loves food shopping, cinema trips, meals out, and visits to the hairdresser; another enjoys bowling, taking the train to Liverpool, dining out, and gym visits; the third likes long walks, coffee and cake, cinema outings, and clothes shopping. One individual attends a day centre Monday to Friday; weekends include long walks and scenic drives.
