Offer description

We are seeking dedicated, resilient and compassionate Teachers to support students within highly specialised settings across Northumberland.


Responsibilities

* Support the educational and emotional development of students in the classroom.
* Build trusted relationships with young people while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
* Plan and deliver structured lessons, tailored interventions and activities focused on personal development and vocational skills.
* Provide 1:1 and group support, encouraging engagement, resilience and progress.
* Assist with managing behaviour using specialist approaches.
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.


Minimum Essential Requirements

* Right to work in the UK
* Minimum of 2 references
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
* QTS / Teaching Experience, experience supporting young people with behavioural, emotional or social difficulties, ideally in a secure or SEN environment
* Training in de-escalation and trauma-informed practice (or willingness to undertake training).
* Experience in residential, SEN or PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) settings.


Work Related Circumstances

* Ability to work flexibly.
* Participate in training.
* A commitment to ensuring a safe environment for children, a thorough knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
