Job Description:
As a Systems Design Integration Engineer at Rolls-Royce Defence, you'll play a key role in delivering the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) supporting the Tempest fighter jet development. Based in Bristol with hybrid working, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements, develop solutions, and shape verification strategies across the product lifecycle. This role involves applying systems thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, contributing to cutting-edge defense capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
* Applying systems engineering principles to resolve complex safety, quality, and business challenges.
* Defining technical requirements and verification strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
* Engineering and integrating complex systems, considering interactions from component to platform level.
* Developing innovative solutions with new technologies while managing risks.
* Supporting validation, verification, and in-service product justification.
Candidate profile:
* Engineering background with degree or equivalent experience; Chartered status beneficial.
* Strong knowledge of design methodologies and cross-discipline concepts.
* Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and make sound decisions.
* Familiarity with product integrity, reliability, and certification in regulated environments.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
