About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Teacher of Psychology to join our thriving Sixth Form team from September. The successful candidate will teach Year 12 and Year 13 Psychology, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire students and support excellent academic outcomes.
This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong subject passion who is committed to developing students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and academic confidence in preparation for higher education and future careers.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons to Year 12 and Year 13 students
* Prepare students effectively for A Level examinations
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
* Develop engaging schemes of work and learning resources
* Provide academic support and enrichment opportunities for students
* Contribute to the wider Sixth Form and departmental activities
* Maintain accurate records and meet all assessment and reporting deadlines
* Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Person Specification
Essential
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
* Degree in Psychology or a related subject
* Strong subject knowledge at A Level standard
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
* Ability to motivate and inspire post-16 learners
