gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Thrapston.
Performance Objectives
* Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
* Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
* Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Completing planned preventative maintenance schedules.
* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with food manufacturing standards.
* Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
Person Specification
* Electrically qualified (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent).
* Previous experience within food manufacturing or FMCG environment preferred.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Experience with conveyors, packaging machinery, motors, sensors, and control systems.
* Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.
* Knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene standards.
