Are you a fully qualified accountant or finalist with experience producing consolidated statutory accounts? Do you enjoy delivering high-impact financial analysis that supports executive-level decision making? Are you looking for a broad, flexible finance role in a high-profile charity? If yes, this is the role for you!
A leading UK charity is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their agile, collaborative finance team on a permanent basis, and play a key role in supporting a complex, recognisable organisation.
The key duties of this Financial Reporting Accountant will be:
* Producing consolidated financial reports and analysis that inform the Senior Management Team’s decisions
* Leading elements of month-end management reporting, working closely with Finance Business Partners across both programme and central teams
* Supporting twice-yearly forecasting, annual budgeting and multi-year financial modelling exercises
* Playing a key role in year-end statutory reporting, including leading on subsidiary statutory accounts, disclosures, and liaising with external auditors
* Contributing to high-level reporting submitted to the organisation’s international group entity
* Taking ownership of financial analysis and process improvement projects - such as FX, income recognition, or future systems implementations
* Rotating responsibilities with peers, ensuring exposure across all areas and allowing the team to flex based on capacity and interests
What makes this role special?
You’ll be part of a small, agile team of qualified accountants who cover both management and statutory accounting in a flexible and collaborative way. There's no siloed working here; everyone contributes to core reporting cycles and gets to lead their own areas, including representing subsidiaries at audit and board level. The organisation is complex, high-impact, and constantly evolving, offering huge learning opportunities and involvement in major projects.
The successful candidate will be:
* A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) – though finalists will be considered if near completion
* Experienced in preparing or auditing statutory accounts - ideally with some exposure to SORP and the charity/NFP sector
* Analytical and confident producing financial insights for senior, non-finance audiences
* Proactive, adaptable and capable of working independently within a collaborative team culture
* A strong communicator with the credibility to present to Audit Committees and subsidiary boards
This role is being offered on a largely remote basis, however there will be occasional requirements to attend in person meetings in their London office a few times per month.
If you’re a qualified accountant with a flair for financial reporting and analysis, and want to work somewhere that makes a real-world impact, apply today to ensure you don’t miss out!
