Are you an experienced and compassionate nurse ready to advance your leadership career? We invite motivated individuals to apply for the position of Ward Manager at Ward 41, a 36-bedded Acute Stroke ward at UHCW.
Ward 41 includes a 12-bed Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) and a 24-bed Acute Stroke Unit (ASU). Additionally, there are 7 ASU beds on Ward 42, totaling 43 beds dedicated to stroke care. The ward features a diverse Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuropsychologists, and an Integrated Discharge Team (IDT).

Key Responsibilities
1. Accountable for your actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct, contributing to corporate objectives within local, Trust, and statutory guidelines.
2. Maintain high-quality service through highly developed communication skills, managing unexpected events and undertaking bleep-holder responsibilities.
3. Provide knowledgeable leadership and advice on policies and guidelines, supporting service and policy development within the area.
4. Identify, assess, and resolve complex clinical and non-clinical issues, monitoring outcomes.
5. Manage interdepartmental activities, including HR, budget, complaints, patient flow, and bleep-holder responsibilities.
6. Ensure optimum patient management through technical skills, including complex monitoring, equipment management, and invasive procedures.
