Are you passionate about helping secondary school pupils reach their full potential? A supportive secondary school in Yeovil is looking for a flexible and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This role offers the opportunity to provide valuable in-class and one-to-one support, helping pupils with a range of additional needs to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs in the classroom
* Assisting teaching staff with individual and group interventions
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
* Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
* Collaborating with teachers and SEN coordinators to tailor support
Person Specification:
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (desirable)
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to pupil needs
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to apply
