As a Consultant Social Worker in the Leaving Care and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) team you’ll be as keen to collaborate and build a bright future as we are. Your role and responsibilities You'll be responsible for the management of your own complex and challenging caseload and offer support to social care staff within the team. Ideally, you will have experience of partnership working and working successfully with colleagues in other services on complex issues. You will hold a case load of primarily 16 and 17 year old care leavers, providing 1:1 support. You will promote the need for improvement and act as a role model for change. Positive, committed, adaptable and thorough, those around you will appreciate your confident approach and your personal integrity. You must be able to work to deadlines and motivate others to work effectively. You will need a Social Work degree and current Social Work England registration experience of working with young people in a professional capacity an understanding of the issues and challenges that affect Care Leavers as they move into independence enthusiasm and be creative in engaging young people.
