Overview
We have an exciting role on offer within our Access and Safeguarding team as a Safeguarding Social Care Worker.
Responsibilities
* Work assertively in outreach, engaging adults who may find it hard to access services, using calm, compassionate contact to build trust over time.
* Triage safeguarding concerns and undertake initial and Section 42 enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014 and Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board (TSAB) procedures.
* Take part in Multi‑Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) and Multi‑Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) conferences.
* Follow the local Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking and Exploitation pathway.
* Collaborate with the Commissioning Team, internal Social Work Teams and local partner agencies to ensure effective multi‑agency safeguarding of adults at risk.
* Provide safeguarding advice and guidance to professionals and members of the public.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong analytical skills and sound decision‑making ability.
* Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Making Safeguarding Personal, the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
