Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen working within East Staffordshire Borough Council's Corporate and Communications Team, recruiting to the role of Corporate and Commercial Officer. Forming part of the Corporate Services Department, the Corporate and Communications Team is a dynamic, multi-skilled team at the heart of the Council, with responsibility for a wide range of central corporate activities.
The Corporate and Commercial Officer will play a key role within the team across a range of disciplines, including public procurement, project management, performance management, contract management, and more. This post will also assist other colleagues within the Corporate and Communications Team with internal and external communications support and sport / leisure strategy.
The Council is therefore looking for a proactive individual with the ability to excel in a multi-disciplinary role, supporting the delivery of this range of services. The ideal candidate will have a good track record of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and operating effectively within any of the corporate activities this interesting and varied role entails.
This is also an opportunity to support the exciting range of activities undertaken by the wider Corporate Services team, including Electoral Services.
Responsibilities
* Engage across a range of disciplines including public procurement, project management, performance management, and contract management.
* Assist colleagues within the Corporate and Communications Team with internal and external communications support and sport / leisure strategy.
* Support the delivery of central corporate activities and collaborate within the Corporate Services team, including Electoral Services.
* Work proactively in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver services as required.
