ROLE SUMMARY
Undertake responsive and routine repairs and void repairs for Portsmouth City Council’s Housing and Corporate Assets, supporting other maintenance contracts as needed. Work across various properties including social housing, schools, public conveniences, offices, heritage sites, and museums.
You will use your skills, knowledge, and training to ensure high-quality workmanship, health & safety, and compliance with company processes. Maintain professionalism and high standards of customer service when interacting with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
KEY ACTIVITIES
* Perform a variety of carpentry and plumbing repairs, including fitting doors, first and second fixing, kitchen installations, repairing leaks, replacing sanitary ware, tiling, and asbestos removal (training provided).
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
* NVQ Level 2-3 in carpentry or plumbing, or equivalent
* Trade experience may be considered
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* 2–5 years’ experience in social housing or building maintenance
DRIVING LICENCE
A full, clean current driving license is required to operate company vans.
