Role: Caretaker
Location: North Yorkshire, YO51
Shifts: Monday to Friday (split shift: 6am-10am / 2pm-6pm)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temp to perm
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Caretaker to join our client's team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and proactive individual with a strong background in caretaking and facilities support. The position offers long-term potential for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Opening and closing the school daily
2. Carrying out basic repairs and general maintenance as required
3. Checking and ensuring cleaners' tasks are completed to a high standard
4. Supporting with porterage tasks, including parcel deliveries
5. Completing PPMs in line with contract requirements
6. Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and creating a safe environment for staff, pupils, and visitors
7. Securing all doors, windows, and buildings when not in operation
Additional Requirements:
8. Enhanced DBS (mandatory)
9. Reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently
