Band 3 Recruitment Support Officer

The client: Local public body based in Armagh
The role: The post-holder will provide a wide range of administrative support to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of recruitment services. They will work as an integral part of the team and be expected to use their own initiative:
1. Act as the first point of contact for recruitment-related queries, ensuring they are directed appropriately and resolved in a timely manner.
2. Provide high-quality administrative support to the Recruitment and Selection function, ensuring effective use of systems and adherence to procedures.
3. Process and deliver end-to-end recruitment and selection activities in line with agreed policies, protocols, and best practices.
4. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when inputting, processing, and validating recruitment data using HRPTS and other systems.
5. Regularly review and update recruitment databases and reports to monitor progress, identify risks, and support delivery of recruitment objectives.
6. Assist in the resolution of escalated recruitment issues from the Shared Services Centre, escalating further where necessary.
7. Support the preparation of reports, documentation, and recruitment-related materials for internal stakeholders and senior staff.
8. Audit recruitment transactions and maintain accurate system records to ensure proper data transfer and compliance.
9. Ensure recruitment materials and stationery are available, replenished, and stored appropriately.
10. Deliver excellent customer service to candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues by responding to enquiries regarding recruitment systems, policies, and procedures.
11. Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment services by participating in training, supporting team initiatives, and embracing changes in processes or systems.
Additional Information:
The Recruitment and Selection Shared Service Centre (RSSC) currently has a number of vacancies available until 30th June 2025, depending on performance. These posts will be reviewed on a monthly basis, with the possibility of extension. Vacancies are available at both Band 3 Recruitment Officer and Band 4 Senior Recruitment Officer level.
There are 6 Band 3 roles available, split as follows:
Hours of work: Full-Time: hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)
Requirements
1a. A minimum of five GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (Grades A-C) or equivalent qualification
OR
1b. 18 months relevant experience
2. Applicants must be willing to undertake the REC Level 2 Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing within 12 months of commencement of employment
3. Ability to use own initiative and work independently or as part of a team to ensure that performance targets and objectives are met
4. Ability to prioritise work to achieve set deadlines
5. Effective communication skills - orally, written and electronically
6. Knowledge and experience in the use of information technology to include Microsoft Office
