Design Concession Approver (T200)
Location: Filton, Bristol (minimum 60% onsite / 3 days per week)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: £46 – £52 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: 35 hours per week (overtime paid at standard rate)

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Concession Approver (T200) to join a major aerospace engineering environment supporting wing and structural manufacturing activities. The role sits within a plant engineering function, providing direct engineering support to manufacturing teams and the wider supply chain. You will lead investigations into manufacturing non‑conformances, develop and approve technical solutions, and ensure all design, airworthiness and safety requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead design investigations related to manufacturing non‑conformances
* Approve concessions in line with T200 design authority
* Ensure compliance with design, safety and airworthiness requirements
* Act as a technical focal point and provide guidance on governance issues
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and lessons‑learnt activities
* Liaise with cross‑functional engineering and production stakeholders
* Provide reporting on critical technical and delivery issues
Skills & Experience Required
* Current or previous Concession Design Approval (T200)
* Strong background in aerospace structures, ideally wings
* A400M or A350 programme experience highly desirable
* Ability to manage and communicate complex technical issues clearly
* Comfortable working autonomously while contributing effectively to a team
* Experience supporting manufacturing and production environments
