Maths Cover Supervisor

About the Role:
We are seeking a confident and motivated Maths Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong numeracy skills and classroom presence to support students and staff within the Maths department.
Role Responsibilities:
* Supervise whole classes primarily in Maths lessons.
* Ensure students remain focused and complete the work set by the regular class teacher.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Provide support to individual students where appropriate, encouraging understanding and engagement.
* Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and any issues that arise during cover.
* Assist with administrative tasks and departmental support when cover duties are not required.
Role Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of Maths (GCSE-level or above).
* Previous experience working with secondary-aged students.
* Confident classroom presence and ability to manage behaviour effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently.
* A passion for supporting student learning and progress.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Teaching assistant or cover supervisor experience is desirable but not essential.
