Own your career and build something you can be proud of at Balfour Beatty. As a Site Supervisor in the Power Transmission & Distribution Operations Team you will help deliver large infrastructure projects across the UK.
Location: Killin, Perthshire
Responsibilities
* Liaise with the Construction Manager and/or Site Engineer to ensure timely requisition of plant and equipment.
* Supervise site operatives and subcontractors.
* Ensure all site personnel have the correct authorisations and permits.
* Confirm externally sourced services such as trenching and footbridges are in place before work starts.
* Maintain accurate time‑sheet records for all operatives, including daily progress, rates, hours, plant and vehicle use.
* Assist the Engineer with weekly inspections of plant and lifting equipment.
* Complete Permit to Work documentation for groundbreaking activities and ensure compliance with existing services.
* Lead Zero Harm initiatives and continuous improvement across SHEQ within projects.
* Take responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all personnel under your control.
Qualifications
* Previous experience of the construction and delivery of overhead line, cabling or substation schemes up to 400kV.
* Experience supervising subcontractors.
* Experience implementing safe systems of work.
* Effective communication and relationship‑management skills.
* Ability to lead, develop and motivate a team for success.
* Valid driving licence.
* Commercial awareness with knowledge of budgetary and financial control (desirable).
* Understanding of current safety legislation (desirable).
