Admissions & Records: Lead the end-to-end admissions process, coordinating with the Local Authority and referring schools to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
Safer Recruitment & SCR: Take full ownership of the Single Central Record (SCR). Manage the recruitment cycle from advertising to enhanced DBS checks, ensuring 100% compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025/26.
Personal Assistant Support: Provide high-level administrative support to the Principal, including diary management, confidential correspondence, and meeting minutes.
Procurement & Finance: Manage the school's purchasing systems, liaising with suppliers to ensure best value for money and maintaining accurate financial records.
Front of House: Act as a professional and empathetic first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external agencies via telephone and in person.
Essential Criteria
School Experience: You must have previous experience working in a school office environment (Primary, Secondary, or SEND/AP).
Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in school MIS systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom) and financial software.
Compliance Expertise: A strong understanding of Safer Recruitment practices and GDPR within an educational setting.
Resilience: The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where student needs can change rapidly.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with total discretion.
