Overview
Wirral Child & Young Person Mental Health Service (CYPMHS, previously CAMHS) 0-18 team is a therapy-based service offering support to children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties and their families and carers. We work in close alignment with the Local Authority, education and the voluntary sector. Our aim is to ensure that children receive the right support, from the right service at the right time. We are looking for an experienced practitioner to join and contribute to our team of friendly and supportive staff, to undertake assessments, develop formulations of need and complete pieces of therapeutic work based on evidence-based interventions.
Responsibilities
* Undertake assessments and develop formulations of need for children and young people in the 0-18 age range.
* Deliver therapeutic work based on evidence-based interventions within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Work closely with CYPMHS leads, eating disorder specialists and core CYPMHS colleagues to provide assessment and intervention within a multidisciplinary setting.
* Contribute to developing and driving the CYPMHS Wirral 0-18 team forward.
Essential criteria
* A core profession (Social Work, Nursing, or Allied Health Professional) and professional registration.
* Access to transport for work purposes is essential.
Induction and start dates
All new starters commence on one fixed start date each month, in line with the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks of training to support induction and initial training requirements.
