The Position
To own and manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial records, strong controls, and efficient finance operations.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing all day-to-day finance activities including accounts receivable and payable, expense management, bank monitoring and reconciliations as well as introducing internal controls.
* Produce cash flow projections.
* Help drive process improvements and system enhancements across the finance function.
* Own intercompany recharge process and accurate eliminations for consolidated management accounts.
* Ensure accurate and timely month-end close.
* Act as principle contact for UK tax compliance matters and other jurisdictions.
* Maintenance of the Xero accounting system
* Lead company audits and liaise with external service providers.
* Line manage team of three; two bookkeepers and one finance administrator.
Required Experience
* Qualification in either ACCA, ACA or CIMA
* 3+ years working in a related finance role
* Managerial experience in a finance team.
* Advanced excel skills
* Experience improving finance processes and controls, including automation of reporting.
* Good technical accounting knowledge across multiple frameworks, such as IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP and Ind AS.
Desirable Experience
* Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software and integrated add-ons and third-party applications.
* Multi-jurisdictional group consolidation across differing accounting frameworks and multi-currency environments.
* Budgeting and analysis.
