You will provide high-quality project management for complex capital projects from inception to commissioning and handover to the Maintenance Manager and/or the clinical service manager. You will also contribute significantly to managing the Trust's multi-campus, multi-building estate and property portfolio.
You will work to design, specify, and cost projects according to an approved brief, delivering completed, signed-off schemes on time, within budget, and to specification.
Main Duties of the Role
1. Assess and prepare service user briefs, identifying service requirements, objectives, and healthcare standards (HTMs and HBNs). Compile and obtain approval for a Project Initiation Document/brief.
2. Manage new works and delegated capital schemes, involving both direct labour trade staff and contractors.
3. Assess project feasibility, including spatial planning in accordance with legislative and best practice guidance, forming budget estimates within the Estates Service Level Agreement, utilizing in-house Building and Engineering Estates Officers and external professionals as needed.
4. Lead and provide expert advice on producing feasibility and business case reports for consideration by users, Divisional Managers, and Trust Executive groups.
5. Deputise for the General Manager of Projects as required, including undertaking line management duties. Manage Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and support Administrators daily.
