Horton Lodge Special School is looking for enthusiastic Ancillary Assistants to join our team. We require: X1 Ancillary Assistant for 15 hours per week to support swimming each Wednesday morning 09:30-11:30 and to support a class all day Thursday and Friday 08:45-15:45. X3 Ancillary Assistants for 10 hours per week to support lunch time each day, Monday to Friday 11:30-13:30 The successful candidates will be: Friendly, organised, and proactive Experienced in working with or caring for children of primary school age (or willingness to learn) Confident and approachable with strong communication skills Able to relate well to both children and adults Be adaptable, willing to take on a variety of tasks and eager to learn As an Ancillary Assistant, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching staff, providing essential support to the pupils. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for pupils with diverse needs.
