Job Title: CAMH Nurse
The CAMH Nurse will participate in the CAMHS Development Programme and work within the Eating Disorder Service, focusing on the intensive treatment community pathway. This role supports young people to remain in the community or provides consistent support on paediatric wards to facilitate discharge. The nurse will conduct outreach into young people's homes and local wards, offering meal support and general therapeutic interventions.
The nurse will join a multidisciplinary team to deliver clinical assessments and therapy to young people (0-18) and their families or carers within the Eating Disorder Service. Responsibilities include outreach work for patients who find clinic attendance challenging and in-reach work into Tier 4 Services. The role involves managing physical health clinics with medical support, providing individual therapy under supervision, and contributing to Multi Family Therapy Groups.
This position offers opportunities to contribute to service development, audits, research, and quality improvement projects. The CAMH Nurse will also supervise student nurses on CAMHS placements.

The service supports staff development through supervision, training, and involvement in quality initiatives, research, and special interest areas such as safeguarding and transitions.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team has adopted a hybrid model of face-to-face and virtual clinical contact, supported by providing staff with laptops and mobile phones for flexible working.
Location and Service Details
The successful applicant will join the West London CAMHS Eating Disorder Service based at Ealing CAMHS, 1 Armstrong Way, Southall UB2 4SA. The service covers Ealing, Hounslow, Hammersmith, and Fulham, offering evidence-based treatments and linking with Tier 2 and Tier 3 services, as well as the CAMHS Crisis Prevention/Care Team (ALLIANCE). The team comprises dedicated clinicians with expertise in working with children and young people with eating disorders.
