Programming Coordinator, Direct to Consumer
ESPN’s Direct to Consumer team oversees the content, performance, operations, strategic growth, and partnerships of ESPN’s Direct to Consumer services, including ESPN+.
The Programming Coordinator, Direct to Consumer will support the team in ESPN’s Direct to Consumer strategy across all platforms, including content prioritization, content communication, and partner management. The Coordinator will support all content-related planning, operational, and technical processes, be responsible for daily QA of the offering, and coordinate across business units as needed. The Coordinator contributes to content strategy workflows to maximize subscriber growth, viewership, value, and revenue.
The role manages ESPN+’s school production program for college sports, serving as the main day-to-day partner for schools and for strategic programming of their content, which includes over 20,000 events. The coordinator handles daily maintenance of ESPN+, managing metadata and operational needs, and supporting partner schools.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, eager to learn, well-versed in streaming media, and experienced in cross-functional relationships. They possess excellent communication and organizational skills, knowledge of direct-to-consumer technology, sports rights, and programming. They think big, learn quickly, and are enthusiastic about industry changes. The role requires adaptability to evolving team needs and initiatives, making it a dynamic and impactful position.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Direct-to-Consumer business, including distribution networks, industry trend tracking, and supporting ESPN’s presence on Hulu and Disney+ in collaboration with various teams.
2. Assist in content planning, merchandising, slate management, and programming insights for strategic alignment.
3. Ensure effective communication of programming information across teams.
4. Manage projects supporting the broader DTC and ESPN strategies.
5. Collaborate across teams to meet project deadlines.
6. Build and maintain relationships with key partners for mutual growth.
7. Lead workstreams and facilitate collaboration.
8. Create presentations for senior leadership, explaining complex topics clearly.
9. Conduct QA of ESPN+ offerings on all platforms and provide feedback.
10. Contribute to overall company strategy as part of the Programming Department.
11. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
12. Propose innovative ideas to grow the business.
Qualifications:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

The salary range in New York, NY is $53,218 to $71,390 annually, based on a 40-hour work week. Compensation includes potential bonuses, incentives, and benefits, and may vary based on experience and location.
