Overview
We are looking for a self-motivated and driven Strategy & Partnerships Manager to shape the future of our organisation and the health outcomes of the communities we serve. This role involves working across a wide network of internal and external partners to design innovative approaches that improve care, reduce inequalities and strengthen collaboration across Barking, Havering and Redbridge. You will support the development of strategic plans, lead complex projects, and provide high-quality advice to senior colleagues. A key part of the role is turning evidence, data and insight into practical action, helping teams identify opportunities for improvement and deliver change.
You will build strong relationships across the Trust, local Place partnerships and the wider North East London system, acting as an ambassador for long-term strategic thinking. The role requires analytical strength, intellectual curiosity and the ability to work in fast-moving environments. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively and lead discussions with diverse stakeholders to improve outcomes for patients and local communities.

Main duties of the job
The Strategy Team works flexibly across the two main functions of the Strategy and Partnership Team:
* Ambitious and creative thinking – using well-developed analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and an understanding of “what works” to support ongoing strategic design development in the Trust and support emerging priority strategic projects
* Providing high quality design support and advice to colleagues across the organisation, working with them to develop their own local strategic plans that align with the Trust, Place and System strategies
In addition to these functions, strategy team members build relationships across the Organisation, Acute Provider Collaboratives (APC), Community Health Collaboratives (CHC), Place and Integrated Systems within North East London (NEL). The Strategy & Partnerships Team are ambassadors for strategic long-term thinking and proactively seeking opportunities to embed the strategy throughout the organisation, and to develop colleagues’ strategic skills. The team works with senior colleagues from across the organisation and wider partnerships in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge.

Education/ Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent level of relevant experience.
* Coaching qualification
Skills/ Abilities
* Strong group and meeting facilitation skills and experience, e.g. contribution to preparation and facilitation of group discussions and workshops
* Strong analytical skills with sound judgement in interpreting data and nuances of information, and ability to frame appropriate analysis and insights from population data
Experience/ Knowledge
* An understanding of population health management approaches and how they can support service transformation.
* Highly developed knowledge and understanding of the drivers of ill-health and the role of acute providers in that landscape, including responsibilities as Anchor Organisations
