Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our property portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of property management, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and driving business growth through effective sales and relationship management. Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
* Manage a portfolio of 150+ rental properties across Slough, Cippenham, Burnham, and Taplow
* Ensure all properties generate minimum 7% + VAT commission upon tenancy renewals or new lets
* Conduct routine property inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Maintain comprehensive property records and documentation
Tenant Relations & Maintenance
* Process and respond to maintenance requests via Propertyfile within 48 hours (excluding weekends)
* Coordinate repairs and maintenance works with approved contractors
* Handle tenant communications professionally via phone, email, and SMS
* Ensure property standards are maintained, and regulatory compliance is met
Rent Collection & Financial Management
* Monitor rent collection rates and follow up on any payments outstanding beyond 48 hours
* Maintain accurate financial records and provide regular reports to landlords
* Process rent statements and manage deposit protection through DPS
Administrative Excellence
* Maintain detailed, concise notes in Alto system for all case management
* Complete all assigned Alto tasks within 24 hours with accompanying documentation
* Ensure all communications and actions are properly recorded and tracked
Customer Service
* Provide exceptional service to both landlords and tenants
* Handle maintenance calls efficiently and personally where feasible
* Maintain professional relationships and resolve issues promptly
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience in property management or estate agency
* Strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Proficiency with property management software (Alto, Propertyfile experience preferred)
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
Desirable Requirements
* ARLA Propertymark qualification or willingness to work towards
* Experience with maintenance coordination and contractor management
* Knowledge of local Slough/Berkshire property market
* Previous experience with rent collection and arrears management
